UZEX: prices for cottonseed oil, liquefied gas and cotton fiber decreased
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 23 to 29 May, goods worth 3.84 trillion soums were sold on all trading platforms of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (UZEX), which is 15.9% less than the previous week. Of these, 79.2% of sales came from exchange auctions, 0.3% - from exhibition and fair sales, 20.3% - from government purchases, and 0.2% - from online auctions of license plates.
The total volume of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 729.6 billion soums. As a result of electronic auctions for public procurement, the total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to 58.7 billion soums.
During the period under review, 3,148 license plates were sold in the amount of 6.9 billion soums through an online auction. As a result of competitive bidding, 5.9% of completed transactions were for premium autonumbers; 8.1% of transactions for the 2nd category; 6.9% for the 3rd category; 7.5% for the 4th category; 20.9% for the 5th category; as well as 50.7% for the 6th category of license plates.
During the reporting period, commodity resources worth 2.25 trillion soums were sold at open exchange auctions. Selling enterprises put goods up for exchange auctions in accordance with the approved schedules, including:
Last week, 2,440.0 tons of cottonseed oil were sold at exchange auctions. An average of 161 buyers took part in exchange trading daily. The daily sales volume averaged 488.0 tons.
During the period under review, the daily average price for all varieties of cottonseed oil decreased from 18.05 milloon soums to 17.19 million soums per ton, or by 4.8%.
On the exchange market of liquefied natural gas, a decrease in prices was recorded. During the past week, 3,985.0 tons of liquefied gas were put up for sale, of which the entire volume was sold. An average of 209 buyers took part in exchange trading daily.
During the period under review, the daily average price for liquefied gas decreased from 5.55 million soums to 5.37 million soums per ton, or by 3.3%.
As a result of exchange trading, the weekly weighted average price for liquefied gas amounted to 5.67 million soums per ton.
Last week, 8,749.0 tons of cotton fiber were put up at exchange auctions, of which 6,995.0 tons, or 80.0%, were sold. The daily sales volume averaged 1,399.0 tons.
During the period under review, the daily average price for all varieties of cotton fiber decreased from 36.85 million soums to 35.18 million soums per ton, or by 4.5%.
