Those in need of social protection to receive compensation for utility bills

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Finance has developed a draft regulation on the procedure for making compensation payments for housing and communal services, which is posted for public discussion. 

The project was developed in accordance with Presidential Decree “On Further Improvement of the System of Material Support for Categories of the Population in Need of Social Protection”.

It is planned to introduce compensation payments to single persons in need of outside care, receiving social benefits. The monthly compensation will be 45% of the base amount of the pension calculation.

The draft Regulation provides for the categories of beneficiaries and the amount of compensation, as well as the procedure for providing and terms for its payment. In particular, compensation is paid to persons entitled to it, regardless of whether they receive a pension or allowance, work or not.
