Commodity logistics goes digital

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 27 December 2021, the electronic logistics portal of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange is being improved.

Now more than 70 enterprises that put up highly liquid and monopoly goods for exchange auctions must place the volumes of shipment of goods in an electronic calendar on their personal account. At the same time, the basis for the shipment of goods is the electronic register of transactions formed on the logistics portal, and the order of shipment is determined by the electronic system according to the principle of "transparent queue", based on the priority of payments.

In the personal account, functions have also been introduced for registering information on the provision of transportation services by own vehicles and concluded direct contracts, in the case when an affiliated company provides the buyer with transportation services.

In addition, the Antimonopoly Committee, together with the Ministry of Transport, can monitor the bidding process for the transportation of exchange goods on the portal, exchange the necessary information, identify unscrupulous carriers and apply appropriate measures to them.

The portal also allows buyers of commodities to identify qualified shipping companies and track the movement of their goods using GPS trackers of vehicles registered in the electronic system.

Other advantages of this portal are the transparency of online trading and delivery procedures, equal opportunities for all participants, optimal market prices, as well as saving time and money for the transportation of goods.

The e-logistics portal was developed and implemented in order to ensure transparency and create healthy competition in the field of freight transportation in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 17 March 2021 No. PP-5031.

According to this resolution, services for the transportation by road of goods sold by monopoly organizations and organizations with state participation at exchange auctions are provided exclusively through the e-logistics trading portal in the order of an auction.

The portal operator is a subsidiary of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange JSC.
