Four solar photovoltaic stations with a total capacity of about 1100 MW to be built in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed resolutions on the construction of 4 solar photovoltaic stations with a total capacity of about 1,100 MW.

According to the resolutions, by the end of 2023, 4 solar photovoltaic stations with a total capacity of 1096.6 MW will be built and put into operation in four regions of the republic.

The resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to organize the construction of a photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 456.6 MW in Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region” was adopted. In line with the document, the investor company Masdar (UAE) will build and put into operation a solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 456.6 MW in Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region by December 2023.

President signed a resolution “On measures to organize the construction of a photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 220 MW in Gallyaaral district of Jizzakh region”.

Masdar (UAE), by October 2023, will put into operation a solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 220 in Gallyaaral district of Jizzakh region.

Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to organize the construction of a photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 220 MW in Kattakurgan district of Samarkand region” was adopted.

The document said that Masdar will launch a solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 220 MW in Kattakurgan district of Samarkand region by October 2023.

Uzbek leader also signed a resolution “On measures to implement the investment project “Construction of a photovoltaic plant in Nurata district of Navoi region with a capacity of 200 MW”.

Phanes Energy Holding III B.V. (Netherlands) will construct and launch a solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 200 MW in Nurata district of Navoi region by November 2023.
