Suspected participant of Tashkent terrorist attack extradited to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Suspected participant of Tashkent terrorist attack, which took place on 16 February 1999, was extradited to Uzbekistan.
The perpetrator was reportedly detained during a special operation by the State Security Service and their foreign colleagues. He hid from justice for 23 years.
A native of Tashkent region, he received combat training in Chechnya in 1998 and helped send new recruits there. Participated in the terrorist act committed in Tashkent on 16 February 1999.
In March of 1991, he fled Uzbekistan, and in 2001, using forged documents, he received citizenship of one of the Commonwealth countries. There he was detained.
It is specified that he was born in 1967. Today he is approximately 55 years old.
