State of emergency introduced throughout Kazakhstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has introduced a state of emergency throughout the country, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported.

Previously, the state of emergency operated only in Almaty, Nur-Sultan, as well as in Almaty and Mangistau regions.

The state of emergency implies a ban on rallies and other large gatherings of people. In addition, a curfew is imposed from 23:00 to 07:00. There are restrictions on entry and exit from settlements.

Riots continue in the largest cities of Kazakhstan. Hundreds of smashed windows and robbed shops, smashed editorial offices of newspapers and TV channels, dozens of injured police officers. Hundreds of vehicles, including ambulances, were burned and damaged. The police said that more than 500 people have already been injured in Almaty.
