Uzpakhtamash, founded in 1947, produced over 300 ginneries in Central Asia and Azerbaijan. According to the company, about 20% of world cotton crop produced with use of Uzpakhtamash equipment and technologies.

The company is also working on modernization its capacities in line with the presidential resolution “On programme of measures on realization of important projects on modernization, technical and technological reequipment in 2009-2014” from 12 March 2009.

The programme envisages to invest over US$3.9 million to the industry modernization, of which US$1.6 million are credits of commercial banks, US$400,000 is own means of enterprises and US$1.9 million are foreign investors.
