Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, at the initiative of the National Association of Non-State Non-Commercial Organizations of Uzbekistan and the Public Fund for Support of Non-State Non-Commercial Organizations of Uzbekistan, a practical and cultural event on the topic “The role of social initiatives in the development of New Uzbekistan” was held.
The event is aimed at increasing the efficiency of projects and programs of social significance of non-governmental non-profit organizations, focusing their activities on solving urgent socio-economic issues, disclosing the essence of the reforms carried out in the field of state support for civil society institutions.
The event was attended by representatives of the Oliy Majlis, ministries and departments, public organizations, representations and branches of international and foreign organizations.
Speakers at the event spoke in detail about the results of reforms carried out over the past 5 years in the field of state support for non-governmental non-profit organizations, providing guarantees for their activities, the role of civil society institutions in developing the potential of human capital and interaction with government bodies in the implementation of social projects.
As part of the event, special certificates were awarded to 50 heads of non-governmental non-profit organizations who completed advanced training courses at the Academy of Public Administration in November-December of this year, and 120 authors of projects that became winners of grant competitions announced by the Foundation of the National Association of Non-Governmental Non-Commercial Organizations of Uzbekistan were awarded.
