Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Airports Handling LLC will provide services for servicing aircraft, passengers and handling baggage. The creation of a subsidiary will improve the quality and reduce the cost of services rendered for local and foreign airlines.
From 1 November 2021, a subsidiary handling company, Uzbekistan Airports Handling LLC, will start operating as part of Uzbekistan Airports JSC. It will be headed by Umid Khamraev. The new enterprise will provide services for check-in, delivery and boarding of passengers on board, baggage handling and delivery, ground handling of aircraft, loading food on board, as well as services of the airport complex - a room for a mother and child, a first-aid post and a referral service.
“The current growth rate of passenger traffic requires the formation of a structure that can cope with a large flow during peak hours, optimize the work of all services involved in servicing passengers and aircraft, while increasing the quality and reducing the turnaround time of aircraft. We intend to achieve all this by creating a handling company whose functions include the entire cycle of servicing airlines, passengers and aircraft from the moment the aircraft lands at our airports to its takeoff. Special attention is paid to the introduction of technologies and the work of personnel at each stage of service," said Rano Juraeva, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports.
To date, the management company has developed a new approach to service maintenance. If earlier airlines were forced to buy services in a complex, now they can form a package of necessary services themselves, without overpaying for unnecessary ones. In addition, the process has been optimized in terms of resource use. The work algorithm is designed in such a way that no service is idle during flight servicing, the system works as a single mechanism, everyone clearly knows who is responsible for what. The result of this optimization was a decrease in the amount of resources involved and an increase in staff income.
As it was reported earlier, from 31 October, Uzbekistan Airports approved a new list of rates and charges for ground handling of regular flights operated by foreign airlines and reduced tariffs by an average of 15%. The company has reduced tariffs for air carriers for the second time. The first reduction in rates and fees was from 31 March - with the transition to the summer schedule - and averaged 27%. Thus, for 7 months of this year, the total amount of discounts for services for servicing foreign aircraft at the airports of the republic amounted to 43%.
