Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev is taking part in negotiations on Afghanistan in Moscow (Russia).
According to Russian media, Ismatulla Irgashev has named the conditions for the recognition of the Taliban government.
He noted that this decision will be an agreed step of all partner countries. No one will take this step in isolation from the rest, while there is no opportunity for recognition, he said.
At the same time, he noted that in order to be recognized, the Taliban must fulfill their obligations under the Doha Agreement, as well as create a government in which all political parties of the Afghan society will be represented;
Ensuring fundamental human and women’s rights, as well as preventing terrorists from using the territory of Afghanistan to threaten its neighbors, are also important conditions for the Taliban to be recognized.
