Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The authorities of Uzbekistan will hold talks with Taliban representatives in Termez on Friday. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to one of the participants in the upcoming meeting from the Uzbek side.
During the talks, the parties will discuss issues of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
Issues on removing barriers to increasing mutual trade, construction of the Surkhan-Puli-Khumri power transmission line and the Mazar-i-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar railway will also be considered.
The parties agreed to hold talks in Termez on 7 October during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov to Kabul.
