Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The seventh international music festival Sharq Taronalari is continuing in the city of Samarkand. Its participants demonstrate their programs on the Registan square, as well as in the parks of the city’s various districts.

Among the Friday performers were the Austrian musical orchestra, which played classical music, and a dance composition of the Big Mountain Dancers from the USA.

Estonian artists presented an impressive Dance of Rocks, Malohat Abdushukurova from Tajikistan performed makoms. Azerbaijani ensemble Sari Gelin also left unforgettable impressions with the audience.

Other countries presented were China, Latvia, South Korea, Russia, Iran, Germany, Great Britain, Indonesia, Turkey, Italy and Mongolia.

The representatives of Uzbekistan demonstrated the country’s rich musical heritage with their performance of makoms.

The musicians from Bangladesh, Beijing and Malaysia met the music lovers at the Hija Akhror complex in Samarkand district.

Similar events were also held in Tailak, Akdarya and Urgut districts of Samarkand region.
