Jasur Yakhshiboev scored against Real Madrid in the Champions League
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A player from Uzbekistan, Jasur Yakhshiboev, helped the Moldovan football club “Sheriff” to defeat Spanish club Real Madrid in the match of the 2nd round of the group stage of the Champions League.
Group D match took place at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid (Spain) and ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the Moldovan club.
Jasurbek Yakhshiboev opened the scoring in the 25th minute of the match. He became the second player from Uzbekistan to score in a Champions League match after Maxim Shatskikh.
In the 65th minute, Karim Benzema equalized the score by implementing a penalty. A minute before the end of regular time, Sebastian Thiel scored Sheriff’s second goal.
