Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of the working group of Uzbekistan and Russia on Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) will be held in December 2021.

On 26 September, Uzbekistan hosted a meeting of the Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov with the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov.

During the talks, the parties discussed issues of preparation for Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO.

The Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Economic Development to provide comprehensive expert support to the Uzbek partners.

It was decided that a meeting of the working group on Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO will take place in December.
