Conference on Oriental music held in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The conference on the role of the Oriental musical culture in the development of the world civilization was held in Samarkand in the framework of the Sharq Taronalari festival, UzA reported.

The event gathered music and art experts, as well as historians from almost 20 countries, who agreed that the traditional music festival in the ancient city helps develop scientific and creative ties among the specialists of various states.

The participants of the forum considered new methodological approach in studying the Oriental musical culture, successes in musicology, Oriental culture in the of globalization process and other issues.
