Overall, the existing tariffs for external advertisement were decreased from 2% to 30% in the regions. For example, tariffs for external advertisement in Navoi region set at the level of 1,700 soums to 3,000 soums per square meter compared to earlier tariffs from US$2 to US$4.9 per square meters a month.

The committee said the special attention was paid to advertisement in rural areas. The committee said payment for placement of external advertisement was abolished in rural areas of Tashkent, Ferghana, Jizzakh, Namangan and Navoi regions. The committee added that earlier local authorities charged businesses from US$2 to US$5 per square meters in Tashkent region’s rural areas.

Tariffs for external advertisement decreased by 50% in other regions of Uzbekistan, the committee said.
