Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Bo Andersson was appointed general director of UzAuto Motors JSC and UzAuto Motors Powertrain JSC. This was stated by Uzavtosanoat JSC.

Bo Andersson is a graduate of the Swedish Military Academy and the Senior Management Program from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stockholm University.

He is the world’s leading automotive executive. Over the years, he worked for such companies as Saab Automobile AB, General Motors, GAZ Group, AvtoVAZ and Yazaki Europe, Africa, North & South America.

Bo Anderson was named the "Best Leader of the Year 2010" in the Russian automotive industry at the Adam Smith International Automobile Forum. In 2011, Anderson was recognized as the best leader of the European automotive industry in the category "Emerging Markets" as part of the annual Eurostars Awards, which is held by the automotive publication Automotive News Europe to determine the most successful leaders of the European auto industry.

In 2012, Bo Anderson received the Outstanding Achievement Award from Automotive Supply Chain, a leading European automotive publication, for restoring the financial position of GAZ Group after the crisis and ensuring the company’s leadership in the Russian LCV market.
