Uzbek pianist player wins international contest

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Aziza Mansurova, fourth-grade student of Tashkent children’s music and art school No.20, won in the 13th international Pro Piano Romania contest held in Bucharest in June.
The school currently teaches more than 250 children aged 6 to 15. According to school director Malohat Agayeva, the children are taught the best samples of national and world music and arts.
Ensembles of stringed and Uzbek folk musical instruments and national dance are functioning at the school, as well as a music and theater band Rukhsor.
A number of the school’s students have successfully participated in the national and international contests, among them Bahodir Nazrullayev, Murad Kuylibayev, Ihtiyor Shukurov, Nodirbek Ismailov, Hojiakbar Mustagizov, Fotima and Zuhra Siddikovs and others.
