Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- In 6 months of 2021, Uzbekistan exported 22,800 tonnes of melons and watermelons worth US$7.4 million abroad, the State Statistics Committee said.

Compared to the corresponding period of last year, this year the supply of melons and watermelons grown in the republic to the markets of 14 foreign countries increased by 18,500 tonnes, that is, almost 5.3 times.

Over the past 6 months, Uzbekistan has exported the most melons and watermelons:

Kazakhstan – 11,800 tonnes

Russia – 6,300 tonnes

Kyrgyz Republic – 2,900 tonnes

Republic of Belarus - 527 tonnes

Latvia - 524 tonnes

Ukraine - 484.2 tonnes

Germany - 131.2 tonnes

Moldova - 59.5 tonnes
