A plant for the synthesis of drugs to be built in Navoi region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and China are discussing a project to create a plant for the synthesis of medicines in Navoi region.
On 23 June, Minister of Innovative Development Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov held talks with representatives of the Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The parties considered the implementation of a project to create a plant for the synthesis of medicines in Navoi region.
The Academy of Sciences of China and the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan have previously reached agreements on the establishment of a plant for the synthesis of drugs in Navoi region. The volume of investments will be US$10 million.
The plant will produce natural and chemical drugs, including those against coronavirus, worth US$36.3 million a year.
Currently, documents are being developed on the registration of the enterprise in the relevant authorities and membership in the free economic zone.
Also, appropriate work is underway to allocate a land plot, select a general contractor and supplier of technological equipment, carry out construction and installation work, etc.
