Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Russian diversified IT group X-Holding has launched the second phase of the project to develop a concept and roadmap for digitalization of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
More than 200 digital initiatives developed by the Holding’s expert group are presented at the two-day strategic session "Best world practices in the digitalization of the fuel and energy complex", which takes place on 15-16 June in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan). Stanislav Kiselev, vice-president of X-Holding, announced this to journalists today at the event.
“With a strategic session, we are opening work on the second stage of the CIFROTEK project,” explains Stanislav. - The project itself is being carried out within the framework of global cooperation with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to develop a roadmap for digitalization of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic. From February to June, the first stage was implemented: we held more than 1,500 offsite meetings, surveyed the seven largest state-owned enterprises of Uzbekistan in the fuel and energy sector and recorded the level of the current state of digitalization and automation of these organizations. Next, a roadmap will be generated. We expect that on the horizon of five years it will create the foundation for sustainable development of enterprises and the industry as a whole. We believe that this approach will become an example for the digital transformation of all other industries, not only in Uzbekistan, but also in other countries.”
Assessing the current level of digitalization of enterprises in the fuel and energy complex of Uzbekistan, Stanislav noted the strengths and weaknesses: “Many of the companies we visited are “aged” and the level of automation is quite low. At the same time, I want to note that the employees themselves want changes. We see a huge number of professionals working in their functional areas. It is these people who are the foundation and basis for changing these enterprises. Undoubtedly, the disadvantage is the lack of automation, but a huge plus is a very strong team of professionals. "
The result of the two-day session will be the formation of a final list of initiatives and specific enterprises where certain decisions will be applied. Further, the documents will be submitted for approval to the governing council consisting of the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov, as well as the heads of energy companies. After the final agreement, the specialists of X-Holding will start creating a roadmap. Delivery of the project is scheduled for October 2021.
