Temporary restrictions on flights to India and Turkey introduced

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan restricts air traffic with Turkey and India, the press service of the Ministry of Transport said.
This decision was made by the Republican Special Commission, taking into account the proposals of the relevant departments, in order to coordinate the work being done to control the spread of coronavirus infection in our country, as well as to prevent the penetration of new strains of infection into the country.
Flights from Istanbul to Ferghana, Urgench and Samarkand are suspended from 5 May to 1 June 2021.
The Commission also decided to suspend from 10 May until the epidemiological situation stabilizes, all charter flights to India and Turkey intended for tourists.
It was decided to reduce air traffic on the Tashkent-Istanbul route on a parity basis (based on demand) from 10 May, based on the current situation.
