SIEMENS AG modernizes 4 thermal power plants in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Today, on 16 April, a meeting with officials of SIEMENS AG was held at the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent. The meeting was attended by the khokim of Tashkent city Jakhongir Artikkhodjaev, Energy Minister Alisher Sultanov, Deputy Minister of Housing and Communal Services Nazirjon Nazirov, Director of SIEMENS AG Christian Bruch and other officials.
The meeting discussed cooperation with SIEMENS AG in the field of energy, in particular, the construction of power plants and thermal stations, the development of hydrogen fuel and a number of other areas.
It was noted that a number of ministries of the country and the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent are ready to establish relations with SIEMENS AG on the basis of public-private partnership. Joint projects will develop not only through the introduction of equipment and technologies, but also through joint work. If necessary, service centers will be opened to service German equipment, and local specialists will be trained.
In cooperation with SIEMENS AG, it is planned to modernize 4 thermal power plants in Tashkent in accordance with modern requirements, and this project will be implemented with the participation of Stone City.
At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on improving energy sustainability, uninterrupted supply of electricity and heat to the population, a thorough study of the conditions and condition of service facilities and their gradual commissioning in accordance with modern requirements.
It should be noted that SIEMENS AG is also one of the leaders in the development of alternative energy and hydrogen fuel. In this regard, it was noted at the meeting that cooperation in these areas is also promising, and that all the issues discussed will be included in agreements to be signed with officials of SIEMENS AG.
