Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan intends to introduce special plate numbers for electric cars. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan has prepared a draft resolution for the Cabinet of Ministers and published for discussion.

According to the draft document, special numbers will be somewhat different from standard license plates - the region code on them will be on a green background, and not on white.

It is expected that new numbers will be issued from 1 June. Prior to this period, it is supposed to be replaced without paying fees already available numbers of electric vehicles.

In the future, electric vehicles can get an advantage at the entrance to the central parts of cities, given their "complete environmental safety".
