Impact of individual lanes on public transport
One of the main criteria for the operation of public transport is the efficient transportation of passengers from the point of departure to the point of destination at a specified time and at a specified speed. For this, it is planned to allocate separate "Bus" or "A" lanes for public transport.
The main factor for creating special lanes is the fact that buses get to stops at the specified time and do not get stuck in traffic jams. In addition, it also ensures that buses do not interfere with other passenger cars while driving.
At the same time, the creation of separate lanes will make it possible to predict the time of arrival of public transport with the greatest accuracy, in addition, this will increase the attractiveness of public transport. Thus, separate lanes will create conditions for the transportation of passengers from the point of departure to the point of destination in compliance with the public transport schedule.
In addition to eliminating traffic congestion and timely transportation of passengers, separate lanes will help emergency vehicles (ambulances and fire trucks) to quickly carry out their work.
It should be noted that there is a ban on the movement of passenger cars on certain lanes.
Line taxis, special taxi services and bicycles will be allowed to move in a separate lane.
Passenger cars need to know how to maneuver on lanes at the moment of launching individual lanes.
In particular, in order to prevent traffic accidents and light vehicles from interfering with the movement of public transport while driving, it will be necessary to warn employees of the road safety department in advance that public transport is given priority on the lanes.
After the introduction of separate lanes, in the first 10 days of the month, employees of the road safety department will have to conduct preventive conversations with drivers, without imposing fines.
To achieve the development of public transport, its convenience and adherence to traffic on schedule, it is necessary to generate public demand among the population. If city residents abandon the idea of introducing separate lanes, then citizens will be forced to switch to cars, which, in turn, will create conditions for the city to remain in traffic jams.
Such measures to create more comfortable conditions for passengers and drivers during travel, at the same time, a high level of improvement of the urban transport system, are the priority tasks of the Tashkent City Transport Department and the Toshshahartranskhizmat Joint Stock Company. Therefore, for the development of public relations, this project is planned to be implemented jointly, taking into account public opinion.
