Vice Prime Minister of Uzbekistan speaks at the opening of the conference "Cinematography of Uzbekistan: past, present, future"
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov addressed the participants of the conference "Cinematography of Uzbekistan: past, present, future", which is being held as part of the Week of Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan.
“Cinematography is a significant component of the culture of the world cinema space. And Uzbekistan, without exaggeration, is a country that has a rich, rich film biography, known far beyond its borders. Names such as Kamil Yarmatov, Malik Kayumov, Shukhrat Abbasov are close to any real filmmaker anywhere in the world,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
He stressed that recently, on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and with his support, great attention has been paid to cinema: historical films are being launched, telling about the great people of our country, opening new pages of our history, restoration of the oldest film studio in Central Asia - the studio "Uzbekfilm", new laws and regulations are being developed to facilitate the processes of filmmaking, the educational program for creative youth is being improved.
