Sidikov holds talks with the Director of the Center for Information and Arab-Russian Studies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 October 2020, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov held talks in the format of video conferencing with Director of the Center for Information and Arab-Russian Studies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Majid At-Turki.
During the conversation, the Saudi side was informed in detail about the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in all spheres of life, which open up new opportunities for the further development of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
It was noted that at the present stage, relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia are consistently developing, an intensive bilateral political dialogue is being maintained, and interaction is being carried out within the framework of international structures.
Special attention is paid to the prospects for intensifying trade, economic and investment relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia, and increasing the volume of mutual trade. An interest was expressed in the implementation of joint projects in the fields of petrochemistry, agriculture, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, IT technologies and tourism. An agreement was reached to conduct joint marketing research in these areas.
The videoconference also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
