Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 October, the 27th China Fair of High-Tech Achievements in Agriculture opened in Yangling region (Shaanxi province, North-West China). The official opening ceremony of the signboard of the training and demonstration base of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) for the exchange of agricultural technologies took place at the ceremony.

On 21 October, the 5th SCO Ministerial Meeting on Agriculture was held, at which representatives of all member countries of the organization came to a unanimous opinion and agreed to create a training and demonstration base for the SCO exchange of agricultural technologies in Yangling region of Shaanxi province.

“Exchange, training and demonstration” - these areas will be the key functions of the SCO training and demonstration base for the exchange of agricultural technologies. Several interaction platforms will be created on the basis of one base, several functional zones will be built around one center. The purpose of this base is to promote exchange and cooperation in the field of agricultural technologies, education and training of specialists, cooperation in the field of production facilities. 

The base’s activities will also be exemplary. As part of the upcoming work, a number of key construction projects were planned, in particular, the creation of an SCO center for the exchange of experience in the field of modern agriculture. The base construction process is currently proceeding in full accordance with the plan.

It is reported that as part of the 27th China (Yangling) Fair of High-Tech Achievements in Agriculture, an online platform was created for the first time to facilitate the digitalization of the exhibition - creating a smart digital model of an agricultural exhibition based on high technologies. On the sidelines of the 27th China (Yangling) Fair of High-Tech Achievements in Agriculture, the SCO 2020 Round Table on the Development of Modern Agriculture, the 4th Yangling International Seed Industry Innovation Forum, and the Yangling International Forum on Science and Technology in the Agricultural Field and etc.
