CIS experts discuss withdrawal of Georgia from organization

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Experts of the CIS held a meeting at the headquarters of the CIS in Minsk, Belarus, on 3-4 June to discuss participation of Georgia in international agreements and decisions of the CIS bodies in connection with its withdrawal from the organization.
Representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and CIS Executive Committee participated at the meeting.
Participants noted that Georgia will withdraw from all international agreements and decisions of the CIS bodies from 18 August 2009.
They also agreed draft decisions of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS and the Council of heads of the governments of the CIS on participation of Georgia in international agreements and decisions of the CIS bodies.
The sides also asked Georgia to submit list of agreements, in which it wants to stay after 18 August 2009.
