Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Zhao Lijian at today’s press conference reiterated that China is not interested in any way and will never interfere in the American presidential elections.
So he commented on the statement of a senior US intelligence official that China is allegedly stepping up efforts to influence the 2020 elections, according to the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan.
Zhao Lijian called on individuals in the United States to stop dragging China into US internal affairs, to be held accountable for their country’s reputation and image, and to stop slandering China.
“We are committed to developing a Sino-US relationship that is free of conflict and confrontation, mutual respect and mutual gain. At the same time, we firmly defend our sovereignty, security and development interests,” the representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry stressed.
