The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan asks fellow citizens not to attempt to travel to the Mashtakovo checkpoint

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the diplomatic missions and consular offices of Uzbekistan in Russia, there are an accumulation of more than 1300 and 700 fellow citizens near the Mashtakovo checkpoint of the Russian-Kazakh border and in the city of Buzuluk, Orenburg Region, respectively.

Despite repeated warnings by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Embassy in Moscow, not to attempt to travel to the Mashtakovo checkpoint, to remain in their current places of residence and to strictly observe all quarantine measures, citizens continue to gather near the Russian-Kazakh interstate border with the aim of returning to Homeland on vehicles through the territory of Kazakhstan.

Due to the sharp deterioration of the situation with coronavirus infection in the region, the introduction of strict quarantine restrictions in Kazakhstan, the return of fellow citizens through the territory of neighboring countries creates organizational and other difficulties, especially poses a serious threat to the health of citizens themselves.

In order to clarify this situation to fellow citizens, the leaders of the Embassy of our country in Moscow and the Consulate General in Kazan arrived at the place of gathering of citizens.

Taking into account the current situation, we once again ask fellow citizens on the territory of Russia to treat restrictive measures with understanding, not to make attempts to go to the crossing points of the Russian-Kazakh border, to remain in places of residence and not endanger their own health and the health of those around them.

Citizens of Uzbekistan will return to their homeland in accordance with the decision of the Special Republican Commission for the organization of charter flights, as well as the resumption of regular "yellow" and "green" flights.

We remind you that the export of Uzbek citizens from Russia is carried out by charter flights and in accordance with the decision of the Special Republican Commission.
