Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 11–13 December 2019, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dilshod Akhatov and consisting of representatives of various ministries and departments held the 4th round of negotiations on a draft Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the European Union.
During the event, the experts formed separate working groups on political, sectoral and trade issues and discussed in detail the draft agreement.
Thanks to the constructive approach and the reasonable compromise shown by the participants in the discussions, significant progress and mutual understanding on many important aspects of this document have been achieved.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to hold another round of negotiations at the beginning of next year in Tashkent.
