Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 October, a meeting was held in Tashkent with a Russian delegation led by the head of the Directorate of Railway Stations, a branch of Russian Railways.
This meeting was organized in accordance with the agreements reached during the meeting of the bilateral working group of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari and Russian Railways, held in Moscow at the end of June.
The main topic of the round-table discussion was the exchange of experience on the procedure for passing at the station complexes the entrance control of passengers and accompanying persons, hand luggage and baggage, including when departing by high-speed trains.
“Our main goal is to get acquainted with the technologies of our Uzbek colleagues in the field of transport security,” says Georgy Gevorkyan, head of the Directorate of Railway Stations - a branch of Russian Railways. - The issue of security at our railway stations is very painful and in this vein, the experience of Uzbekistan is very interesting for us, we heard a lot about it and we would like to consider the infrastructure for passenger service in your country. As for cooperation, we also invite our colleagues, as we also have something to demonstrate at our stations, to familiarize ourselves with the new types of service that we are introducing. For example, in automatic left-luggage offices, serving passengers temporarily arriving at stations and other services at station complexes.
The guests praised the experience of Uzbekistan based on legislative and regulatory documents governing the issues of ensuring safety in the railway transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In particular, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. ЗРУ-293 dated September 8, 2011, “On Amending and Adding to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Rail Transport”, aimed at ensuring the safety of rail transportation. In addition, the guests were informed about measures aimed at ensuring the safety of rail transportation, the procedure for screening passengers and other persons, hand luggage, baggage at railway stations and stations, the rules for finding passengers and other persons on the territory of railway stations and stations.
During a constructive conversation, Russian colleagues in the passenger sector were given overview information. In particular, the general director of O’ztemiryo’lyo’lovchi Jahongir Nurmukhamedov said that about 60 thousand passengers are served daily at the stations of our country. There are 14 trains running on international lines. He also talked about measures taken to ensure control of the flow of passengers at railway stations (separation of the flow of arrivals and departures, three-stage control, etc.), talked about ongoing projects in the service sector, such as the implementation of the sale of electronic tickets, developed by domestic specialists and much more.
It is planned that during the two-day visit, the delegation will personally familiarize themselves with the stations of our country, the conditions created in them and the transformations taking place in them.
