Uzbekistan takes part in a large ethnic festival
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The fourth meeting of the World Confederation of Ethnosport, dedicated to the culture and development of ethnosport, is being held in Istanbul, Turkey. This event will continue until 6 October under the leadership of the chairman of the World Confederation of Ethnosport Najmiddin Bilal Erdagan.
The main goal of the festival is to establish not only ethnic and cultural ties between countries, but also to establish educational and tourist spheres, as well as revitalize national games that are threatened with extinction and pass them on to the younger generation. In this vibrant festival, more than 1,000 athletes from 16 countries participate and present their national games.
Along with members of the confederation, on behalf of Uzbekistan, the head of the archery federation Otabek Imamov and the director of the Department of International Relations of the National Olympic Committee Kamoliddin Ergashev take part in this large-scale event.
During the event, Uzbek culture is widely promoted, the origins of which go back thousands of years, as well as the traditions and customs of the Uzbek people. During their performances, our compatriots presented guests with interesting entertainment programs and beautiful crafts of our artisans. Especially pleased everyone, cooked 100 kilogram pilaf, which is a kind of "calling card" of our country.
