Flights will be resumed after the two countries settle some issues concerning the implementation of an earlier signed Tajik-Uzbek intergovernmental agreement.
Air communication between the two countries was stopped in 1992 right after the beginning of civil confrontation in Tajikistan.
Eight years after that the sides agreed to restore flights, but it all ended in just one experimental flight between Dushanbe and Tashkent.
