International Cotton Advisory Committee to hold Asian Cotton Research and Development Network meeting in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 8th meeting of the Asian Cotton Research and Development Network meeting, organized by the International Cotton Advisory Committee, will be held in Tashkent on 9-11 September.  

The meeting will be held as part of the Global Textile Days Tashkent 2019.

The event will be held in the framework held for the first time within "Global Textile Days Tashkent 2019) in Tashkent on 9-14 September. The week will be devoted to the textile industry of Uzbekistan and the world. Leading industry experts will demonstrate the achievements of the industry, will be organized conferences and round tables, exhibitions of textile products and mechanical engineering.

The ICAC International Cotton Advisory Committee formed the Asian Cotton Research and Development Network ACRDN in 1999. Since then, seven network meetings have been held in Pakistan (1999), Uzbekistan (2002), India (2005), China (2008), Pakistan (2011), Bangladesh (2014) and India (2017).

The main theme of the 8th meeting of the ACRDN will be “World Best Sustainable Practices for Adding Production, Processing, and By-Products Costs”. The meeting will focus on cotton technologies for Asian countries in increasing yields with the lowest and most sustainable costs.

The conference will bring together leading cotton researchers from the public sector and world leading companies. It is expected that about 40-50 international experts from 6-7 countries will also attend the meeting.

It is worth noting that participation in the event is primarily necessary for the timely receipt of information about the global cotton market, its development trends, as well as for declaring countries’ position and upholding their interests in the global cotton market through active information exchange and development of partnership relations and the conclusion of intergovernmental agreements.
