Credit unions’ assets grow by 63.8bn soums in 2008

Assets of credit unions in Uzbekistan increased by 63.8 billion soums in 2008. Total volume of assets made up 112 billion soums as of 1 January 2009.
As of 1 January 2009, Central Bank of Uzbekistan registered 81 credit unions. Number of credit unions increased by 23 in 2008.
