Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Citizens of 109 countries of the world can obtain a residence permit in Uzbekistan when purchasing real estate.

This decision was approved by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev by his decree "On additional measures for the accelerated development of tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan".

Citizens of foreign countries can obtain a residence permit when purchasing real estate in Tashkent and Tashkent region in an amount equivalent to at least US$400,000, in Samarkand, Bukhara, Namangan, Andijan, Fergana and Khorezm regions - at least US$200,000 and in Karakalpakstan and others regions of Uzbekistan - at least US$100,000.
