Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 September 2018, an opening ceremony of a textile factory was held in Uchkurgan district of Namangan region.

According to the press service of the Association “Uztekstilprom” (Uzbek Textile Industry), the capacity of the enterprise is over 6 million units of ready products a year.

The Association said that during the last trip to Namangan region in May 2018, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave corresponding instructions to continue construction and creative work in the region.

In fulfillment of these instructions, a large-scale work was carried out. A new industrial enterprise was organized.

It should be noted that the factory was opened as part of the Week of the textile industry.

Within the framework of the Week, representatives of state authorities and the textile industry will be able to discuss topical issues of import substitution, promotion and state support of the industry, development of international textile technologies, certification and scientific research in the development of "smart" textiles.

The organizer of the event was the Association of Textile and Sewing and Knitting Industries of Uzbekistan "Uztekstilprom".

Within the framework of the thematic week, on 4 September 2018, Tashkent Textile Conference will hold the International Textile Conference of Uzbekistan devoted to the latest trends in the textile industry.

On 5 September, the grand opening of the International Exhibition of Textile and Fashion Industry "UzTextile Expo2018" will take place. The exhibition will be held in all pavilions of the National Exhibition Company "Uzexpocenter" and will last until 7 September.

More than 100 leading companies, textile firms, specialists, scientists and experts from more than 30 countries, including Russia, Belarus, China, Japan, Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Republic Korea, India, Pakistan and Turkey will attend the event.

Together with "UzTextile Expo 2018" the 12th Central Asian International Exhibition "Textile Equipment and Technologies - CAITME 2018" will start.

The exhibition will present spinning equipment, winding machines, textile, sewing, dyeing and finishing equipment, weaving machines, padding machines, toe machines, compressors, sewing needles, quality control systems, chemicals, paints and other necessary equipment for textile production and means.

"CAITME" and "UzTextile Expo 2018" exhibitions stimulate business cooperation between the industry specialists, attracting leading manufacturers and consumers of equipment, technologies and materials for textile and light industry.

Also meetings B2B, B2G, fashion shows and industrial collections will be organized.

During the week of the textile and light industry, experts will get acquainted with the products produced at the enterprises of Uzbekistan, the capabilities of the industry enterprises, hold negotiations and will be able to conclude cooperation agreements.

Within the framework of the Week there will also be presentations, "round tables", negotiations between industry experts.
