Sherzod Kudratkhodjaev was appointed to the post of rector of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications.
On 24 May, the President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution on establishing the University of Journalism and Mass Communications.
The university will accept the first students in 2018. It is planned that there will be 100 places in the bachelor’s program and 30 in the magistracy.
There are four directions in the bachelor’s program: journalism (print press, TV and radio journalism, online journalism and sports journalism), press service and PR, media design, media marketing and advertising.
There will be seven directions for the Master’s program at the University: journalism (print media, political and legal journalism, Internet journalism), higher journalism courses, international journalism, publishing and editorial staff, information technology technologies, television and radio, media management.
