CBU issues licenses to new credit unions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Bank of Uzbekistan issued licenses to two new credit unions, the Uzbek financial market regulator said.
It said Humo, located in Buvayda district of Ferghana region, and Hamroh Finans (Jalalkuduk district of Andijan region) received the licenses.
The charter capital of Humo credit union set at 34 million soums, while Hamroh Finans’ authorized capital formed at 35 million soums.
The credit unions’ activities will focus on financing projects of their members - small businesses and individuals - and render leasing service.
