Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 November, Turkmenistan’s president, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, received Uzbekistan’s outgoing ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan, Alisher Qodirov, Turkmen TV Altyn Asyr channel on 11 November reported.
In the course of the meeting, the president and his guest expressed their satisfaction with the current level of Turkmen-Uzbek relations which take their roots from the depths of centuries, the report said.
The president of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude for the contribution the Uzbek diplomat had made to the strengthening of friendship and partnership between the peoples of the two countries, the Turkmen channel said.
Prior to bidding farewell, the two sides expressed their confidence in the further expansion of the interstate relations in the interests of the prosperity of the two neighbouring nations.
