ADB President Kuroda to attend CAREC meeting

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of the Asian Development Bank, Mr. Haruhiko Kuroda, will visit the nations of Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan between 18 - 21 November.
In Azerbaijan, Mr. Kuroda will be attending the Seventh Ministerial Conference on Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC).
CAREC is an allegiance of eight countries - Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, People’s Republic of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan - with the common goal of promoting economic cooperation and development in Central Asia.
Several important regional strategies involving trade, energy and transportation will be discussed at the CAREC Ministerial Conference.
During the trip, President Kuroda will be meeting with senior government officials of Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan, as well as finalizing various loan agreements.
In Armenia, Mr. Kuroda will also be inaugurating ADB’s new office in Yerevan.
