UzDongJu were fastest out of the blocks as Isroil Tursunov gave the bottom-of-table club the lead with just six minutes on the clock.

However, two goals in the space of a minute saw Bunyodkor going in the break 2-1 up with Anvar Soliev equalising in the 19th minute before Luizao doubled the visitors’ advantage just sixty seconds later.

UzDongJu held out until the 68th minute when Rivaldo netted Bunyodkor’s third and it was the former World and European Player of the Year netted his second and the Tashkent club’s fourth two minutes into stoppage-time.

Bunyodkor will be crowned Uzbekistan champions on 14 November if they beat Andijan, who were held to a goalless draw at Qyzylqum.

Defending champions Pakhtakor kept their slim title hopes alive after a 22nd minute Zaynitdin Tadjiev strike gave them a 1-0 win over Locomotive.

Third-place Neftchi defeated Dynamo 4-2 at home while Sogdiana also enjoyed a win in front of their home fans with the Jizzakh-based side beating Shurtan 2-1.

Masha’al and Metallurg both enjoyed victories on the road - defeating Nasaf 3-2 and Bukhara 1-0 respectively - while AGMK had to come from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw at home to Navbakhor.
