Uzbek athletes win seven more medals in Rio
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan won seven more medals at Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
Aleksandr Svechnikov won the gold medal of Paralympics in Men’s Javelin Throw with the result of 65.69 meters.
Safiya Burkhanov clinched the silver medal of Paralympics in Women’s Shot Put with the result of 15.05 meters. Husniddin Norbekov won the bronze medal in the same discipline.
In Men’s 4x100 m relay Uzbekistan won the bronze medal. Miran Sakhatov, Jaloliddin Khamrokulov, Mansur Abdirashidov, Doniyor Saliev and Fakhriddin Khamraev became bronze medalists of the Rio Games.
Swimmers Muslimahon Odilova and Shohsanam Toshpulatova won silver and bronze medals correspondingly in Women’s Freestyle 50m. In the same discipline, Muzaffar Tursunkhodjaev also claimed the bronze medal.
Currently, Uzbekistan won 30 medals of Paralympic Games, including seven gold, six silver and 17 bronze medals.
