Cuba declares mourning over death of Islam Karimov
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
State Council of Cuba declared Monday, 5 September 2016, as an official mourning due to death of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, the local media said.
According to Cuban media, the mourning will start at 6:00 of 5 September 2016 and last till 24:00 of the same time.
Cuban flags will be flown at the half-mast in public buildings and military institutions of Cuba.
On 2 September 2016, First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov died at the age of 78 after serious illness.
Uzbekistan declared three days of national mourning in connection with the death of Islam Karimov from 3 September 2016.
