The MoU was signed during the ninth session of the Iran-Uzbekistan Inter-governmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Under the MoU, the two sides are obliged to cooperate in the fields of standardization, holding educational seminars and in related fields.

The MoU was inked by director general of goods inspection and export-import affairs of the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran, Nayyereh Pirouzbakht, and head of the Center of National Standards of Uzbekistan, Aziz Yuldashev.
