The document is aimed at further improving current legislation on social-economic, public-political and judicial-legal spheres.

The law introduces changes and amendments to several legislative acts, including to the laws “On courts”, “On Constitutional Court of Uzbekistan”, “On political parties”, “On competition”, Tax Code, Criminal Code, etc.

The law was developed based on the presidential decree from 12 August 2012 “On measures on improving social protection of workers of the judicial system”, decree form 30 November 2012 “On organizational measures of improving activities of courts, decree from 10 April 2012 “On additional measures on stimulating attraction of foreign direct investments” and others.

The amendments are directed at improving activities of the courts, selection, training and appointment of judges, strengthening legal and social guarantees to judges, changing election legislation to local representative bodies and improving work of parties in local councils, stimulating attraction of foreign investments, etc.

The changes also directed at improving roles of political parties, institutes of civil societies, improving their roles in social-economic development of regions and public control, improving life standards of population, protection of environment, and rights of people.
