According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, number of installed POS-terminals made up 112,710 unit, ATMs and infokiosks – 1,420 units.

Owners of over 9.466 million banking cards are individuals, 24,810 – legal entities and 11,920 – individual entrepreneurs.

According to regulator, some 2.02 million banking cards were issued in Tashkent city, 855,913 units in Ferghana region, 796,392 units in Kashkadarya region and Karakalpakstan – 784,260 units.

Agrobank, National Bank and People’s Bank are leading on number of issued banking cards. Agrobank issued 1.952 million cards, National Bank – 1.558 million cards and People’s Bank – 1.44 million cards.

These three banks also lead on number of installed POS-terminals. Agrobank has 17,820 installed POS-terminals, People’s Bank – 17,770 units and National Bank – 14,160 units.

The sum of transactions, conducted with banking cards of individuals in national currency, made up 12.658 trillion soums in 2012 against 10.192 trillion soums in 2011.
