The event was organized within the project “Local Governance Support: Participation and Partnership” Project (LGSP) of the UNDP and Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.

Modern information center actively participate in development and implementation of information policy of administrations, formation of positive opinion among population about activities of administrations, etc.

At the presentation, participants familiarized with modern opportunities of information centers to interact with mass media and public.

It was noted that information center of Namangan region published over 40 articles and materials in local newspapers in January-July 2012. Special blogs have been opened in newspapers Namangan Haqiqati and Namanganskaya Pravda.

It was underlined that the information centers distrivute their information via their website www.namangan.uz and www.jizzax.uz, as well as social networks.

In the end the participants visited the information center to get familiarized with the results of information center's activities and modern ICT and media equipment provided by UNDP.
